General questions about working with Resilience Reclaimed
I have opted for having initial contact through a contact form. This stems from my commitment to quality conversations. Working on a homestead means that I’m occasionally in environments that are not suitable for immediate or in-depth discussions. By working through a contact form, I can ensure that I am prepared and that I have access to necessary information for initial contact. This will lead to a more focused and productive first contact.
Please use the contact form on my website to begin our dialogue. It’s designed to gather essential context about your inquiry efficiently. Upon receiving your message, I’ll reply promptly, and we can arrange a way to advance the exchange in a way suits us both. This approach ensures that our discussion is as meaningful and effective as possible from the start.
I value your understanding and look forward to our meaningful exchange. Your interest is very much appreciated, and I am keen to explore how we can work together.
The following elements set the approach of Resilience Reclaimed apart:
Strategic, tactical, and operational thinking: a balanced and integral approach that looks at all levels in an organisation. Ranging from the strategic to the practical, the organisation in its context, from the short- to the long-term.
Systems-thinking: looking at complex issues by identifying drivers and underlying causes, identifying conditions that shape dynamics, taking multiple perspectives, and anticipating downstream effects.
Human-centric approach and empowerment: committed to building capacity both at organisational and individual level to strengthen internal abilities and agency. Bringing solutions designed to enhance the human experience and empower individuals.
Creative problem-solving: curious, using different approaches, utilizing creativity to find original solutions that are nuanced, outside-the-box and that cross different domains.
Broad and diverse experience: applying a wide perspective informed through working across various contexts, cultures, and with different requirements.
Flexibility and adaptability: tailored services to fit unique organisational needs and taking a flexible and adaptive approach to work.
Commitment to sustainable outcomes: focusing on practical, achievable results that meet your organisation’s unique challenges. Setting up the systems that ensure that these results can be maintained in the future.
Choosing to work with Resilience Reclaimed means partnering with someone who values creativity, understands the importance of a human-centric approach, and has the experience and adaptability to tackle a wide range of challenges. If this resonates with your needs and aspirations, don’t hesitate to take contact. I’m looking forward to embark on this journey with you.
If I’m candid about why you should consider partnering with me, it’s only fair to share potential reasons we might not be the best fit:
I work based on trust, common sense, and assume that people are reasonable. I place people over systems and want to work in collaborations where all parties feel that it has been beneficial for them.
Process vs. results: my priority is impactful solutions, not rigid process adherence. If your priority is process over adaptability and innovation, we may see things differently.
Passion for Resilience and integrity: I am deeply passionate about Resilience and delivering genuine solutions. Integrity is at the core of my work. If your project is about ticking boxes, or adhering to pre-ordained outcomes rather than exploring genuine solutions, our approaches may not match.
Navigating complexities without absolute guarantees: absolute guarantees don’t align with the complex nature of Resilience. Black-and-white answers are rarely appropriate. Reality is often multi-layered and exists in many shades of grey. There will always be unknowns and elements that are unknowable. If finding certainty and guarantees is your goal, I may not be the right fit.
Commitment to realistic outcomes: my commitment is to realistic, practical outcomes based on an understanding of underlying conditions and complex dynamics. If you’re looking for simple solutions to complex problems, our philosophies might differ.
If these points resonate with you, then I’d be more than happy to discuss how we can work together.
My work in developing countries has imbued me with a broad perspective on Resilience, training, organisational development, and on how to read operational contexts. I realised early on that there are many layers that play in complex systems. Combined with a deep curiosity about the underlying issues and drivers, it has led me to develop different, and at times contrarian, perspectives on many issues.
Working with companies may involve specific legislative and regulatory frameworks that are new to me. To accommodate this learning curve, I am offering my services at a reduced rate for the moment. This approach reflects my commitment to investing time and effort in understanding a different context, and the unique needs of clients. I’ll put in the efforts to ensure excellent results. It’s a collaborative mutual learning journey that adapts proven concepts and methods to a new context, that benefits both your organisation and my professional growth.
If an assignment seems to be too large or complex for my current level of skills or experience, I will be upfront about it. Integrity and transparency are paramount to me. I will only take on projects where I can deliver high value to the client.

Practical aspects of working with Resilience Reclaimed
My primary professional language is English. I prefer to do trainings and workshops in English as it is the language I operate in with ease and precision. This is important particularly for complex communications and formal documentation. I can also work in other languages though.
At present, I can confidently engage in conversations and meetings in Swedish and am actively working towards achieving greater fluency. My Swedish is rapidly improving; I’m currently comfortable with conversational Swedish. For written tasks that require the highest level of precision, I will continue to rely on my English foundation. This ensures clarity and quality in my work. Over time this will change.
I am fluent in spoken French and have an intermediate proficiency in written French.
I am a native Dutch speaker and have a basic understanding of German and Spanish.

I’m based in the countryside in Bergslagen, Sweden, roughly 180 kilometers east of Stockholm. Because of this location, I focus mainly on the Swedish market.
However, my services are not limited by geography. I’m fully equipped for remote collaboration and willing to travel for on-site work if it aligns with the project’s needs. That said, my location does place me at a half-day’s journey from the nearest international airport. This does influence my approach to travel for work, particularly when it comes to shorter-term projects.
If you’re looking for a flexible partner to tackle your project, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Together, we can determine the most effective way to collaborate, leveraging remote work capabilities or planning a visit to your location as required.
I prioritize effective and efficient collaboration, which typically involves a mix of on-site and remote work. I’ve found that face-to-face meetings at project kick-off and key milestones greatly benefits project, especially for more complex ones. These are complemented by remote work, leveraging digital tools to maintain clear communication and project momentum.
While I’m open to on-site engagements, I aim to balance travel with my commitments at our homestead. In general I plan for at most up to two weeks away. This can however be negotiated based on project needs.
Each project is unique, and I’m committed to making arrangement to best meet requirements. If you have specific preferences or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can devise a collaboration model that ensures good results.
I can work with a broad spectrum of companies and organisations. Services are designed to fit a variety of needs across different sizes and sectors; from major corporations to grassroots non-profits. A sample of experiences and professional background are described on the website, and a brief overview of the services I offer can also be found here.
Organisational Resilience and Business Continuity
My skills and experience would benefit any group aiming to weave Resilience into their operational or strategic systems.
Small- and medium-sized organisations would likely benefit most from the Resilience Scan. These entities typically operate in a dynamic results-oriented environment where the principles of Resilience can have a significant impact.
For larger organisations operating in a more complex environment, working through a Business Continuity Programme would be more appropriate.
All organisations, including umbrella organisations and local authorities, could benefit of the Workshop Organisational Resilience or the Training Organisational Resilience.
The web-page Services at a Glance presents all potential services with some key information.
Strategic Foresight
I offer Strategic Foresight services and support organisations in Scenario Planning, Trend Analysis, and PESTLE Analysis, either as a partner, or participant in a larger initiative. My approach introduces fresh and, at times, contrarian perspectives to the discussion, enriching strategic thinking. Organisations seeking innovative insights into their planning processes will find substantial value in my contributions.
If your organisation seeks to bolster Resilience or enhance Strategic Foresight, I invite you to connect. I am eager to explore how my expertise can support you with your operational and strategic goals.
