g. Household Resilience Review

Enhance your household’s Resilience and preparedness with our Household Resilience Review. The review offers a tailored assessment and suggests approaches to navigate uncertainties and strengthen preparedness. The activity is aimed at individuals, families and households.

I. What it is

The Resilience Review for Households is like the Resilience Scan for Organisations, but focusing on households and individuals.

Based on scenarios and priorities, key vulnerabilities and risks of households are identified. Recommendations are then made to improve Resilience and preparedness of the households.

The activity starts with a survey, a explanation and review of the framework used and how it is used. This is followed with an exchange around potential scenarios and prioritisation.

The results are presented in a brief report that is discussed in an online Meeting. This meeting will focus on the current situation of the household, and prioritisation of issues. Measures are then suggested that could improve Resilience and preparedness.

II. Objective

To identify vulnerabilities and capacities of the household or individual and, based on scenarios, develop a prioritised list of measures that could be implemented to ensure the household or individual is better prepared to deal with potential shocks and stresses.

III. Who it is for

Households or individuals who want to improve their preparedness and Resilience in an increasingly uncertain future.

This is also a good approach for households or individuals who would like to have a ‘Resilience Perspective’ with regard to potentially important decisions they have to make.

IV. Practicalities

The approach can normally be done from a distance and for a typical household the review would take around one or two days of work to complete.

Resilience Reclaimed has no accreditation for giving financial Advice, and thus the results should not be taken as being financial advice… The clients take responsibility for their decisions, actions and their implications.

While mental resilience is a critical component of the Resilience of a person and collective group, Resilience Reclaimed has neither a psychological nor social work background. Therefore mental health is not covered in this review.

To make the review accessible to as many as possible, the assessment is brief and conducted off-site, which means that that data collected will depend on the inputs given by the household and publicly available information. That means that the data and information will always be incomplete. The results of the review should therefore be considered as an opinion and not as formal advice. Persons are responsible for their own actions, and Resilience Reclaimed cannot be held liable for the results of the review or follow up on this.

V. Relation to other Packages and Services

There is an overlap on the principles that apply to organisational and household Resilience. That said, this package is a stand-alone activity that is not part of the larger Organisational Resilience and Business Continuity packages.
